East Coast Canoe and Kayak Festival at James Island County Park in Charleston, SC
Kick off the paddle season with the East Coast Canoe and Kayak Festival at James County Island Park in Charleston! Visitors at this event will enjoy three days of demonstrations, on-water classes, lectures, social events, and more! Paddle sports professional and enthusiasts will be leading classes that cover topics such as how-to session on navigation, equipment selection, exotic paddling locations, and preparing cuisine straight from the dry bag. Dozens of commercial exhibitors will be at the festival, allowing visitors to take products out on the water to try before buying! Special workshops will also allow guests to learn new strokes, rescues, rolls, and other techniques, while food vendors will be at the festival site throughout the weekend. Other events include the climbing wall, on-site camping, sunrise paddle trips, kid's camp programs, a Friday Night Social, the Concert in the Park, and much, much more!
