Francis Marion Hotel
If you are a history buff, you might know that Sir Francis Marion, also known as the "Swamp Fox" was a guiding force for the Patriots during the Revolutionary War. His guerilla tactics kept the Charleston area relatively safe, even when it was occupied by British soldiers. This thorn in the Redcoat's side is still considered a hometown hero. The hotel that bears his name is tastefully and luxuriously appointed.
