Old South Carriage Tours

If you have never traveled to Charleston before, then you are in for a real treat. The wonderful charm and essence of the city will have you coming back again and again, time after time. For this visit to Charleston, why not learn a little about it's past and perhaps find what gives the city that intangible quality that cannot be described.

Old South Carriage Tour

Ride through 300 years of history in a Colonial era carriage complete with horse and a very knowledgeable guide. Your guide is dressed in full Confederate regalia and will tell you stories of the city's glorious past, including information on it's involvement in the Civil War. Most of the tour is focused on older homes and buildings in the Charleston area, Antebellum homes and churches that have survived hundreds of years and are still remarkable in their beauty. This hour long tour will give you a taste of what the past was like in this magical town.

Charleston Photo Tours

Whether you are a fan of photography or not, this is a great tour to enjoy. Of course, if you are an aspiring photographer, you might enjoy it a bit more than someone simply enjoying the sights. This tour will take you past some of the most photographed areas of Charleston where you guide, a professional photographer, will give you some great information about the area and may impart a few photography tips. See areas like Olde Charles Towne, Charleston's Historic District, and Charleston Harbor. Just a few things that would produce some beautiful photographs on this tour are the Antebellum mansions and meeting houses of the historic town.

The Original Charleston Walk

The amazing weather in Charleston is often perfect for an outdoor walk, so why not take a walk where you can learn something. The Original Charleston walk is a tour through the history of Charleston, stopping at some of the most important places in the city. This two hour tour ambles on at a leisurely pace as your guide gives you inside information about the people and places that have shaped Charleston. See Fort Sumter, historic mansions, Charleston Harbor, and much more on this exciting and informative tour.

Caper's Island Sunset Dolphin Discovery Cruise

After a day of sightseeing and learning, a nice relaxing tour is just what the vacation doctor ordered. During this tour you will be able to lounge on a softly rocking boat while laughing at the antics of the local bottlenose dolphins. Your captain and guide will educate you about the dolphins' habits and some fun facts about the species. You might also get to see the endangered loggerhead turtle which is in danger of becoming extinct due to loss of habitat. See amazing views of Charleston from the water, with the sunset in the distance.

The Original Charleston Walk
Very interesting. I'm sure all the guides are good, but they are what makes the trip. He left us in a different place than we started and that was a little confusing. Also, the meeting place had changed from the time we booked. Fortunately, the vendor switched us without a problem.

The Original Charleston Walk
Our tour guide was Denny. He was the BEST tour guide I've ever seen (and I've been on MANY MANY tours in my life). It was a superb all around primer on Charleston presented in a very pleasant package.

Old South Carriage Tour
This tour was great. But be aware that the tour takes different routes, controlled by the local authorities. After you have started the tour, the 'Carriage Police' give the driver the route they must take. The carriage company has no control over this, and neither do you as the passanger. The routes are given out on a round robin basis as each carriage pull up. Still a great way to experience downtown Charleston though,
