South Carolina Aquarium
So much more than your average aquarium, the South Carolina Aquarium offers visitors a truly comprehensive look at all kinds of animal habitats, ranging from the Amazon to the coastal plains and mountain forests. Altogether there are thousands of aquatic animals in this state-of-the-art facility located on Charleston Harbor. This unique concept for an aquarium lets people of all ages learn about the differences in the sea life of all of these environments. Discover similarities and differences of all the habitats, and how they are related. This is definitely a must-visit attraction!

Golfing
The golf lover will be very happy in Charleston. There are several major golf courses, and with the amazing landscape of the area, you will experience unique and beautiful grounds. A really beautiful course is Kiawah Island, which is a major golf course located on a private island. Or try Wild Dunes, which has been ranked Best in the State by Golf Digest, and offers 18 holes with amazing finishes overlooking the Atlantic Coast. Another popular course is Dunes West Golf Club, located in the Lowcountry and set in the coastal marshlands and on old plantations. So don't forget your clubs when visiting Charleston -- you will have plenty of choices if you want to step up to the tee.

Museums
Due to its rich history, there are many amazing museums in Charleston that offer one-of-a-kind artifacts and great exhibits. The American Military Museum shows off the history of the American military by displaying uniforms and artifacts from all the major wars. The Naval & Maritime Museum will delight sea lovers and military buffs alike. The Confederate Museum displays exhibits relating to the Civil War, and the Old Exchange and Provost helps you see hands-on exhibits of the history of Charleston. There are certainly many places to help you learn more about this amazingly rich historic place.
