The South Carolina Aquarium provides the entire family with a fascinating look into the wilds of our world through a number of animal exhibits and hands-on activities! This educational and research institution will take you the world over with sights to excite the entire family. You will be amazed at the sense of immersion as you wonder at roughly 400 different sea creatures as they co-exist in the massive 350,000 gallon aquarium, featuring the tallest aquarium window in North America. Special exhibits such as Penguin Planet offer unique looks into specific varieties of marine life while those looking for an overview of wildlife will also find animals such as the bald eagle, barn owl and more on display.

Additionally, The Mountain Forest Gallery will show how water habitats are important even in mountainous areas. And the interactive Discovery Lab will give the entire family a hands-on experience with all sorts of aquatic animals.
