The
Pilgrim Monument, standing 250 feet tall, is turned into a granite spectacle of lights, and wonder, each Thanksgiving with the Annual Lighting of the Monument at Provincetown. Adorned the day before Thanksgiving, and staying lit until the new year, this granite "Christmas tree" is definitely a sight to see.
The monument was erected in the early 20th century to commemorate the first landing of the Mayflower pilgrims in 1620. With its historical significance and massive stature, the Pilgrim Monument is a spectacular sight to see lit up with the lights of the holiday season in Provincetown.
