Universidad Anáhuac Cancún is a university located in Cancun, Mexico. The English name for this well known university is Anahuac University of Cancun. Universidad Anáhuac Cancún is part of much larger organization for universities in Mexico called Universidad Anáhuac. Other colleges and universities that are part of the Universidad Anáhuac include Universidad Anáhuac del Sur, Universidad Anáhuac del Norte, Oaxaca, Tampio, Puebla, Queretaro, Cancun, Xalapa and Merida's Universidad del Mayab. These universities are located throughout the world in Mexico, Spain, Chile, Italy and the United States. The original "Anáhuac" was started by Father Marial Maciel and continues to have links to the Catholic Church. The organization has and continues to have the motto, "leadership of positive action".
Universidad Anáhuac Cancún offers undergraduate level of studies that include Bachelor's degrees, Associate's degrees and Certificate and Diploma degrees as well as postgraduate studies offering Master degrees and Doctorate degree. A major event this year for the Universidad Anahuac Cancún is their presentation of "Admit One-Bring your eyes to a new level", which, hosted by Depo Consulting, is part of the Universidad Anahuac Cancún Short Film Festival, a four day event. The first day of the festival provided lots of fun activities such as games, music and concerts as well as a viewing of six short films. The Universidad Anahuac Cancún Short Film Festival is an end-of-the-year project for students studying Mass Media Communications at the University. It's held in conjunction with their study of digital culture as well as learning about the virtual space in the virtual offices at the university.
