Located in the heart of Cancun, this bullfighting ring is huge. When you purchase your tickets to the bullfight, you are also getting some entertainment with it too. There is a show which features Mexican folklore that is quite enjoyable with colorful costumes, great music and dancing. Sometimes, there is even a mini-rodeo included. The entertainers sometimes even add a really cool soccer game demonstration and incorporate audience members along with a small bull.
However, the main attraction is the bullfighting at Plaza de Toros. The pageantry and duel between beast and man is as old as Spanish culture and quite intense. The whipping of the matador's cape and the charging of the bull as he gets closer and closer is heart-stopping. Per tradition, someone or something has to die at the end, so you better hope that it is the bull! Many times, the death is plain to see so it is not for the faint of heart.
