When it comes to the Plantation House, not only is it an excellent restaurant but it is considered to be the sixth best restaurant in Cancun; which is a great privilege as there are many different restaurants. Besides it being a "normal" restaurant, it serves a little bit of Spanish, French, English food to make great Caribbean dishes. In fact, it uses a lot of the Old World's cooking traditions along with the richness from the Caribbean for many of the food dishes.
Many times when people see the food for the first time, they think that they are looking at a postcard, as everything from the tropical decorations to the spirit to the food is picture perfect. In fact, the Plantation House specializes in seafood dishes; such as a crab stuffed lobster tail. Although everything from the fish to the deliciously prepared shellfish is worth trying. When it comes to cooking and serving the food, it is cooked in the "grill of the sea" (which is on a boat) and then brought to you in a boat. In fact, the customers are treated as if they were gold; the waiters wear white gloves and jackets.
Besides the great food, there is also a great selection of drinks that can be ordered as well. In fact, the Plantation House even has an original house drinks. No matter what you order it will be good as well as great tasting! However, in order to get in the restaurant you must be formally dressed, no shorts, t-shirts, sandals or swimming suits.
