Found just east of the city, the Calgary Zoo is home to many exotic animals, botanical gardens, and even a prehistoric park.
With all of the attractions, the zoo itself makes for an exciting full day adventure for anybody. The enclosures that house each of the animals are fairly large and expansive, offering a very natural approach to keeping the animals happy.
Unique to the park is the Prehistoric Park, which features a recreation of southern Alberta for what it appeared like millions of years ago. Life-sized dinosaurs and more await the visitors to the park.
