The Winter Carnival at Fort Calgary Historic Park in Calgary, Alberta is a showcase for Alberta's arts and sports. This multicultural event that includes people from all over the area and from different backgrounds is an annual 10 day festival held in February. This event focuses on family entertainment and activities. This is held at a real fort. The Winter Carnival is a free event. Events at the Winter Carnival include story telling, games, crafts, scavenger hunts, live performances and more. There will also be skating parties, dances and hockey tournaments in the pond. People from all the surrounding areas gather for this great winter carnival celebrating snow and ice. Hot chocolate is also offered to take the chill off of the day.
