GENERAL INFO
Citizens and legal residents of the United States will not need a passport to enter into Calgary, but you will need a valid photo ID and proof of citizenship.

If you are bringing your pets with you on vacation, make sure they have been vaccinated within the past 36 months and that you have a certificate of proof from a licensed veterinarian.

If you're going to be driving in Canada, it is important to know that all drivers must have owner registration. If you do not own the car you are driving, you must have a letter from the owner authorizing you to use the vehicle. Proof of insurance is also required to drive in the country. Canadian Non-Resident Inter-Provincial Motor Vehicle Liability Cards are available from most U.S. Insurance companies and are acceptable forms of proof of financial responsibility. You must have minimum coverage of $200,000. It is also important to remember to buckle up while driving; wearing your seatbelt is the law.
