There are 78 species of whales and dolphins on the planet and despite them being principally seen as protein earlier in the century, they are now well protected and a very attractive prospect for tourists. If you fancy something a little different which is sure to be memorable for the rest of your life, whale watching is the thing for you. The only difficulty is to find the words to describe it to your friends when you get back, it will be very special. Get close up and personal with grey whales or perhaps look for the elusive blue whale, not doubt surrounded by hundreds or perhaps thousands of dolphins.
