Uptown Cafe in Branson, MO

Customer Rating: 8.5 of 10
Leave a review and rating
The setting of the Uptown Cafe really brings you back to the 1950s, with their soda fountain and running jukebox. With its art deco furnishings the Uptown Cafe radiates the charm and simplicity of the 1940s and 50s. Serving everything from hamburgers to char broiled beef kabob this restaurant has a personality all its own.

The real jukebox pumps out 50s style music while the working soda fountain relly brings you back to that era in American food. The breakfast buffet is one of the best around and lunch and dinner are just as good.

Great place to visit and everyone is so friendly! The burgers are really great and now you have a choice of fries or chips on all the sandwiches. The menu includes 'kids' choices which gives them a drink and sundae. We ate the breakfast buffet twice and it was really satisfying...loved the little waffles! Will be going back with family or alone to experience it again and again.

Great Food, Great Service
We tried it and it was great. The Steakburger now includes french fries. The old time soda fountain has great shakes, sundaes, etc. A stage is under construction and after show entertainment will soon be offered. We can't wait to go back and see the changes the new management is making.

Fun 50's Dining in Branson
The Uptown Cafe was acquired by two cousins in April 2008. Several changes have been made including adding a choice of french fries or chips to most of the sandwiches including the famous Steakburger. The name has been retained, but Jackie B. Goode's has been added to it. Jack Goode was the brother of one of the cousins and was killed in Vietnam in 1968. His portrait is displayed in the foyer of the cafe along with 12 of the medals he was awarded for valor while engaged in enemy action. A stage has been added and free entertainment is frequently presented. Patrons can also enjoy beer, wine or other alcoholic beverages. The soda fountain is always open for a banana split, malt or shake made the old fashioned way and 50's and 60's music can be heard on the juke box. The cafe is totally smoke free and cleanliness is of utmost importance to the new owners.
