The home of John Polk Campbell, founder of Springfield, still stands in tact in the midst of Nathanael Greene Park. Not only is mid 1800's home still standing, the detached log kitchen, log granary, barn, and family cemetery have all be well taken care of and are still in good condition. Costumed guides are present during certain times of the year to show you around, interpret Civil War artifacts, and give the history of the farmstead and the family that once lived here.
Admission is free, and operating hours are as follows: May through September they are open on Saturdays and Sundays only, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. In April and October they are open Sundays only.
