Fantastic Caverns, first discovered in 1862, is the only ride-through cave in America and a great look into the natural history of the Ozarks. Throughout your journey through the amazing caverns, located just a little ways north of Branson, you'll encounter a variety of underground formations and inhabitants, ranging from stalactites to salamanders.
Fantastic Caverns is open daily, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Tours of the cavern are given from a jeep-drawn tram, offering a leisurely ride through the wonders of what lies beneath our earth's surface. Tours typically last one hour and cover approximately one mile. Throughout the journey an informative guide will provide classification for the many sights you see and give detailed information into how such formations came to be.
