If you are an avid fisher, then you will love Bull Shoals. This lake offers some of the finest and most varied fresh water fishing in its warm deep waters, that other surrounding lakes do not seem to have. There are many different fresh water species in the lake including Large Mouth Bass, Spotted Bass, White Bass, Stripers, Crappie, Channel Catfish, Bream, and Walleye. Where the water mixes with the cold waters from Lake Taneycomo, towards the upper end of the lake, you can find both Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout. Bull Shoals Lake provide excellent fishing all year long, there is no closed season, and the water stays pretty warm throughout the year. The lake hardly ever freezes and in the spring, the upper end is known for its magnificent White Bass and Walleye Fishing.
(Note: Bull Shoals Lake lies half in Missouri and half in Arkansas; therefore, you must know what state you are fishing in. You do not want the embarrassment of being caught fishing in Arkansas with only a Missouri license.)
