This historic mansion belonged to Rose O'Neill, famous artist, writer, and Kewpie Doll creator. Now a museum, the site has been restored to its original beauty, as it was when O'Neill cherished the home. It inspired some of her artwork and writings, of which some are shown in the museum displays. Also found in the museum, are many of the original Kewpie Dolls, molds, and some of O'Neill's books.
This landmark building is beautiful inside and out. The gardens seem endless and provide a deliciously decadent walkway through greenery, rows of flowers, and waterfalls.
