The Wilderness Road Festival focuses on the celebration of two of mankind's two oldest forms of entertainment: music and storytelling.
The festival is held a various locations the Branson / Reeds Spring and focuses on the heritage of the Ozarks, and the history of the Wilderness Road. Through a wide variety of gospel gatherings, Civil War reenactments, craftsman, storytellers and musicians, the storied history of the midwest will come alive!
The Wilderness Road was built in 1860 to help connect the untamed wilderness of the Ozarks region. Even today, the majority of the Wilderness Road is still around, albeit rarely used. This festival is a way to remember the founding of this special area, the culture and heritage of those who founded it and just have a general good time as well.
