Branson's Olde Time Fiddle Festival is an annual event in the area that pits fiddlers against one another for thousands of dollars in prize money and coveted awards.
Held at the Old Branson High School Gym, the Olde Time Fiddle Festival usually has around 50 to 60 participants, with hundreds of spectators attending. The contestants are broken up into divisions including youth, senior, Texas style and old time traditional style, and are judged accordingly.
The top five fiddlers in each division are selected throughout the course of the day, and return for competition that night. Whether you're interested in pitting your fiddling skills against some of the best in the midwest or simply want to watch the battles unfold, the Olde Time Fiddle Festival is always great entertainment for fans of the fiddle, and music in general.
