The Compton Fiddler's Convention gives Branson tourists a chance to not only listen to some great fiddling, but also, if one is so inclined, to fiddle some of their own tunes.
The Compton Fiddler's Convention, which takes place at Branson's Compton Ridge Campground, is a three day convention of fiddling. The event features all day jam sessions on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Jam sessions allow those attending the convention to play their fiddles along with groups of other fiddlers, all of varying talent and fiddling experience. These jam sessions are usually the main attraction for those attending the convention; however, for those who prefer to listen instead of play, stage performances occur throughout the three days. Lunch is served at the convention on Friday and Saturday. Friday night features a catfish fry, while the last night of the convention offers Compton Ridge's famous Pig Roast.
