Annual Robert Burns Weekend in Eureka Springs, near Branson, MO

Every year in late January, the city of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, holds a weekend festival dedicated to beloved Scottish bard Robert Burns.
Eureka Springs is a Victorian-themed city that was the settling grounds for many European-American pioneers. The annual Robert Burns celebration, which always aims to land around his birthday of January 25, celebrated Scottish heritage and culture and is usually held at a local hotel.

The weekend always kicks off with a Ceilidh (the Scottish word for festival) on Friday night, where Scottish music is played and Scottish dancing is taught. Several seminars on Scottish culture and food are presented on Saturday, followed by a Scottish whiskey tasting. The traditional Burns supper on Saturday night involves a hearty meal of Scottish food and toasts, and is followed up with a Sunday morning brunch. Tickets to the event and hotel packages are available through the hosting hotel, which changes from year to year.
