The fall season at Silver Dollar City promises to provide you and your family with the sights, sounds, and taste of the Ozarks in Branson, MO when you join them for the Festival of American Music and Craftsmanship September 9th through October 30th. With over four hundred musicians providing you with a lineup of bluegrass, folk, Western swing, gospel and more you will feel like dancing all day. Over a hundred crafters will show you how they make the practical and beautiful items that entertained in bygone days. In addition there will be foods that will have your mouth watering in anticipation.

Entertainment...

Come see the Bluegrass Brigade as they entertain you with traditional and contemporary Bluegrass and Gospel music. The Carolina Rebels will delight you with a mix of old style bluegrass, fast banjo, and fiddle tunes. Listen to the tight harmonies of The Dowden Sisters as they perform traditional folk songs and stirring hymns. The Faris Family will show you that the family that plays and sings together stays together as they show you the talent in this award-winning family group. The Williams and Clark Expedition will wow you with a unique sound of bluegrass, country, and gospel.

Crafts...

See crafters at work making handwoven baskets, knives, cornhusk dolls, quilts unique woodcrafts and more. Discover lost arts and watch these talented artisans work their magic as they form things from nature into wonderful works of art that are both beautiful and practical. Children of today will be surprised at how these things were made and used back in the day. With Silver Dollar City's 40 craft stores plus the visiting crafters you are sure to find a treasure or two to take home with you.

Food...

This festival won't let you forget your taste buds; as you walk through the park you will be tempted by the smells of good Southern cooking. At Uncle Sam's Rib Shack you will be delighted with ribs prepared four different ways and sides of potato salad, coleslaw, or baked beans that always go well with BBQ. The Atlantic Coast Fish Fry offers deep fried cod, jumbo fried shrimp, and two different kinds of chowder. Heartland has sandwiches of pork tenderloin, grilled bratwurst and kraut, or grilled ham steak served on homemade bucket bread.

The Frontier will make you feel like you are out on the range as they serve up campfire-roasted prairie chicken, buffalo chili in a sourdough bread bowl topped with Cheddar cheese, or a burger of 1/3 pound of ground chuck. The Southwestern will fill you with Indian tacos, chimichangas with Mexican rice, a Southwestern Fiesta salad served in an edible bowl, or good helping of Nacho Grande. Save room for dessert as you choose from favorites like Kansas City "Tall" layered carrot cake, New York cheesecake with fruit toppings, and pies of all sorts.

Coming to Silver Dollar City's Festival of American Music and Craftsmanship promises to be one of the best vacation spots for the fall season. The whole family will enjoy all that they have to offer for your entertainment. Make plans before the last day on October 30.

It was great. First time there. Plan to go back in the summer and hope they do the Christmas theme again next year. Hope to make it an annual event.

lots of shops to enjoy, we are not much for rides, enjoyed the one show we did stop to watch. went back the 2nd day for the cave tour enjoyed that.
