Most people know that Branson, Missouri has many fantastic shows to choose from, but if you are looking to see something a little different then check out SIX. SIX consists of six brothers that perform using only their mouths to create beautiful songs. Their performance is like no other and will have you looking around trying to find hidden musical instruments.
About SIX's Show
Besides the magnificent songs that will have you tapping your feet, you will also enjoy dance performances as well as comedy which is sprinkled throughout the show. Six will have you rocking out to Motown, Rock and Roll, Country, and even Gospel. The amazing way they create music without any kind of assistance from CDs or instrumental help makes their already incredible performance even more unbelievable.
The History of SIX
These six incredible performers from Phoenix, Arizona are the Knudsen brothers and are the oldest of 10 brothers that have been creating unique harmonies and sounds since they were very young. When their father began to notice their talent he began teaching them gospel which they picked up very quickly. The brothers, Barry, Kevin, Lynn, Jak, Owen, and Curtis, were very talented and the community soon recognized it when the brothers performed at churches, clubs, fairs, talent contests, and other venues. Eventually the Knudsen brothers began branching out to other genres such as Disco, Punk Rock, and Barbershop music. In 1978 SIX made their television debut when they appeared on the Donnie and Marie Show. After 9 years of playing local gigs they decided to try their luck in Southern California, so they headed west with a few hundred dollars and an old truck. To make ends meet and get their name out they performed on the streets of Los Angeles. Eventually it paid off and they started getting booked for parties. After a year of working parties and clubs they got a job at Disneyland.
The Success and Present of SIX
Since their success at Disneyland, the brothers have won several awards and have opened for some big names including Trisha Yearwood, Rod Stewart, the Doobie Brothers, and many more. They now reside in Branson, Missouri and have their own show at the Hughes Brothers Celebrity Theatre. The whole family will love this wholesome musical performance.
