If you're looking for some fun holiday entertainment then search no further than Branson! While Branson does offer year-round entertainment, Christmastime is indeed the best time to be in Branson. All the shows presented from November 1st to December 31st are part of Branson's Ozark Mountain Christmas.

Ozark Mountain Christmas consists of holiday shows by some of Branson's finest entertainers. Andy Williams and Mickey Gilley with his cast of singers put on musical shows every year, while comedians such as Joey Riley, Ray Stevens, and Yakov Smirnoff put on holiday-oriented comedy shows. Some new shows added to the Christmas show bill this year include the "Christmas Dreams Show" and "Broadway Christmas Spectacular!" starring Jimmy Osmond. The Hughes Brothers' Old-Fashioned Christmas Show, "Broadway! Spirit of Christmas," and performances by Jim Stafford and Shoji Tabuchi are also included in the Ozark Mountain Christmas. While visiting Branson during this festive time, don't forget to visit the famous Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede for their special Christmas show as well. In addition, Silver Dollar City provides a delightful Christmas atmosphere with various shows, charming late 19th century style decorations, and even a 17-foot talking Christmas tree!

Besides musical and comedy shows, Ozark Mountain Christmas also offers an impressive lighting display. For Christmas 2006, Branson's Area Festival of Lights will be even brighter and more beautiful than last year's with even more decorated locations.  Tours are given during the event to see the holiday adornments all around Branson. The Shepherd of the Hills' Trail of Lights will ooh and ahh its visitors with a spectacular tour of Christmas lights all the way up to Inspiration Tower, where one can get a breathtaking view of Branson all lit up for the holidays. Visitors should also not forget to check out the beautiful Port of Lights in Kimberling City, located near Table Rock Lake.

2006 will mark the 19th year of the Christmas celebration, and being rated as one of the "Top 100 Events in North America" by the American Bus Association, Branson's Ozark Mountain Christmas is a must for anyone wanting some holiday cheer and quality entertainment!

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show - Branson, MO
Dolly Parton
We loved this show! This time we broght our own knives and forks. When we were here last year I couldn't get the chicken grease out from under my fingers for days so this worked far better. And I brought a wet towel and degreaser from the trailer. And I gave half of my chicken to the hubby. The soup wasn't as good this time. Hubby thought the whole thing was too loud, but I loved the hog races. I think we sat too close because we got some debris kicked up on us. Will come again next time with bibs and hot wash clothes. We slept on top of our truck in the parking lot, which was great. Thanks again, Dolly Mrs. Juanbo Taylor

Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show - Branson, MO
The Dixie Stampede is a one of a kind show. The talent and production of the whole show and dinner was fantastic. There were 10 of us (two were a 4 and 6 year old, one was 86) and we all equally enjoyed it. I would not miss it when we return to Branson again one day!

Jim Stafford Show
What a funny, funny man! Who would have guessed that he aged right along with me! So refreshing to watch a 'clean' comedian and not to have to cringe at every other word!
