Christmas in the OzarksThe Branson area is famous for it's holiday light displays. There's the ever popular Branson Area Festival of Lights, which features over 200 displays. These displays used to be concentrated into just one area, now they're spread out all over the city for a surprise around almost every corner. Shepherd of the Hills has their own Trail of Lights, where you can drive through to see their displays and end up at Inspiration Tower where you can take an elevator to the top, for a stunning view of Branson during the Holidays. Silver Dollar City takes on a Christmas celebration all it's own, where there are special seasonal shows taking place in theaters around the park, carrollers walking the grounds in their period costumes, a 17 foot talking Christmas tree that you and your kids can interact with, and a train that takes you through displays exclusive to the passengers. You could always just grab a bag of fresh roasted peanuts and a cup of hot cider, and just stand in awe of the twinkling 5 story Christmas tree with synchronized music. You won't want to forget the Port of Lights on Table Rock Lake, the Enchanted Forest at Indian Point Village also near the lake, or the Annual Adoration Parade. The Parade features more than 70 bands, and floats, and the lighting of the nativity scene on the tip of Mount Branson. Whether it's a famous Branson music show you plan to attend for the holidays, or just a drive through a light display, it's sure to be an enjoyable and memorable time for you and your family. |

Silver Dollar City
Shows were fantastic. We really enjoyed the live Nativity Story. The Christmas lights were breath-taking and the parade was beautiful.

Great Atmosphere!!!
I hate thrill rides, rollercoasters in particular, but I love Silver Dollar City! Offering more than rides, this theme park transports visitors to 18th century Ozarks. The park is very natural looking, and there is a great selection of down home cooking and arts & crafts.

It was a ,an awesome time.. the bluegrass and barbeque was so much fun, there were things for our kids (19, 17, and 14) to do, plus lots of things that entertained mom and dad. And having two days and not just one was great.
