Choosing a Show in Branson

When planning your vacation to Branson, Missouri, of course you're thinking of seeing a show. Being that Branson, is America's Live Entertainment Capital, there's many to chose from, but rest assured, there's a little something for everyone. Branson is a city that specializes in diversity, and here's just a taste of it.

For Those Who Like Country

Here's a few suggestions:

There's the 14 Karat Country Music Show. This show keeps the true sound of country music alive. There aren't any crossovers into rock 'n roll or pop, just the purest sound of country in the south.

Circle B Chuckwagon and Cowboy Music Show will take you back to the old days of the west. The Horn family puts on an amazing show, fit for all ages. Christiana sings and plays the fretless acoustic bass. Megan sings and plays the fiddle. Katie sings lead vocals, plays rhythm guitar and the mandolin. Each of the children, at one time, even wrangled the ranch's horses. It doesn't get much more genuine, than that.

The Country Tonite Show does both your old country classics and your most current favorite country tunes. They features award winning dancers, truly amazing vocalists, and brand new comedy.

For Those Who Like Oldies

50's At The Hop Show performs all the classics. They range from Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, and much more! You'll hear over 50 songs from that memorable place in time. There's beautifully choreographed dancing, amazing musicians, and fun for the whole family.

Elvis & The Superstars offers a nice mixture of gospel, country, and rock 'n roll.  Dave Ehlert is the spitting image of Elvis, and you'll think the King is really in front of you as Dave belts out the tunes of days gone by. However, he's not the only look-alike. There are twelve other superstars, including Tom Jones, Neil Diamond, The Blues Brothers, Roy Orbison, Ray Charles, and they're all waiting to entertain you.

While we're on the topic of impersonators, you can't forget Legends in Concert. While they have a rotating cast, you'll be sure to see someone you love. You can always count on seeing Elvis. Other stars include; Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles, Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, and too many others to name.

For Those Who Enjoy A Good Variety Show

The Baldknobbers Jamboree is in their 39th year of entertainging, and was Branson's first country music and comedy show.  Not only were they the FIRST show in this area, but the Baldknobbers were in the original cast of The Shepherd of the Hills play and were the first street band at Silver Dollar City. The Baldknobbers are a Branson favorite, and with so many years experience in delivering beautiful songs, and gut busting punch lines, you won't want to miss it. 

The Haygoods is a variety show featuring 8 siblings and their amazing musical, dancing, and acrobatic skills. This show really does have a little bit of everything. They play over 20 different instruments, they tap dance, they flip around, and have tremendous voices. They do everything from guitar solos, to sax solos, to sweet sibling harmonies.  This group of siblings--ranging in age from 26 to 10--give an energetic performance like nothing you've ever seen before. 
 

So, no matter what your family likes or dislikes, finding something for everyone can be a breeze. With a town so diverse and so intent on providing entertainment for the whole family, you can't go wrong.
