Enjoy the fall colors and the charm and hospitality of New England on an 8 day 7 night adventure that takes you from Boston, into Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. See the stunning Maine Coast, enjoy clam, oyster, and lobster, and view the picturesque Green and White Mountain ranges.
Day 1: Boston, Massachusetts - Tour Begins
Your New England vacation begins in Beantown, with luxurious accommodations at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.
Day 2: Boston
Take a morning tour of Boston that will include seeing the Public Gardens, Beacon Hill and U.S.S. Constitution. In the afternoon, you will visit the Faneuil Hall Marketplace which features the work of local artisans. Then you will visit the Skywalk Observatory where you can overlook the city of Boston, before settling down for dinner at the nation’s oldest Oyster House restaurant.
Day 3: Boston - Freeport, Maine - Bar Harbor
Leave Boston and head up the rocky Atlantic Coast into scenic Maine. Visit Freeport, home to the L.L. Bean Company. View the Maine Coast from atop a tower, and then arrive in Bar Harbor where you will enjoy beachfront accommodations at the Atlantic Oakes by the Sea Hotel.
Day 4: Bar Harbor
The day starts off with a guided tour of the Abbe Museum featuring Native American exhibits. An afternoon bay cruise will offer a unique opportunity to view marine wildlife through an underwater video camera. Take a tour of a Bar Harbor micro-brewery, and then enjoy a clambake and lobster feast for dinner.
Day 5: Bar Harbor - North Conway, New Hampshire
Travel from Maine to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Along the way, tour the Pineland Farm, where you can try your hand at farming for a portion of the day by helping out, giving you an opportunity to learn how the farm operates firsthand. In New Hampshire, you will arrive in North Conway and settle in at the North Conway Grand Hotel.
Day 6: North Conway - Woodstock, Vermont - Stratton
Today’s journey takes you into Vermont. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery, taking in the fall foliage, the colorful mountainsides, covered bridges, and old fashioned village churches. Take an excursion to the mile long, 165 foot deep Quechee Gorge, and visit a glass-blowing shop, before traveling to your accommodations in Stratton, Vermont.
Day 7: Stratton - Bennington - Stratton
See the burial site for poet, Robert Frost. Visit the historic Bennington Battle Monument, before taking a trip to New England’s first Chocolatorium, where you can learn about the production of chocolate and enjoy sampling fine chocolates. In the evening, you will enjoy a delicious farewell dinner with your traveling companions who shared the Colors of New England experience with you.
Day 8: Stratton - Boston, MA - Tour Ends
Return to Boston as your departure point for your trip back home.
