Whale and Dolphin Watching near Boston, MA
Started in 1975 with hopes to educate the public on whales and their environment, the Dolphin Fleet started a craze that has since then only grown. The thrill of seeing such an enormous animal surface out of the ocean only to crash back down, causing an explosion of water, is absolutely amazing. You see, with your own eyes, the grace and beauty of whales and get to experience their uncensored behavior in their natural environment. You feel like you are a part of their world, they aren't just on your television screen.
The habitat we visit is the summer home to such species as the Humpback, Finback, and Minke whales. In and around the waters of Provincetown and Cape Cod Bay, the North Atlantic Right Whale, one of the most endangered species in the world, has been spotted numerous times. Also, you may see pilot whales and even dolphins, the white-sided dolphin and the harbor porpoise have often been seen, as well. That is just to name a few. We are visiting whales in their natural environment, therefore every trip is different, you never know what you may see!
The Dolphin Fleet Boats are specifically designed for whale watching and comfort. There is a sundeck on the second level, and a walk out platform for viewing on the bow. There are no open rails on the boat; therefore, you are IN the boat, not on the boat. The interior cabin has enough seating room for 100, and is heated and cooled, plus there is more seating on the upper and lower decks. However, the number of guest on each excursion is limited to ensure the satisfaction of each patron.
