Walk through Revolutionary War history with Boston's Freedom Trail, a 2 1/2-mile trek from
Boston Common to the
Bunker Hill Monument that features 16 historic sites along the way. The trail is easy to follow as it features red brick and a red painted line that guides visitors to each significant landmark. The walk is not too challenging for most, and public transportation is also available at several points along the Trail. The Trail also features scheduled walking tours with costumed colonial characters, self-guided audio tours, trolley tours and more.
