Ships returning for maintenance and more can be found at the Charlestown Navy Yard in Charlestown, Massachusetts.
The shipyard is an amazing historic location that has been around since 1800. Since it closed in 1974, the yard has been kept as a part of Boston National Historical Park.
When looking for a solid representative of the type of ship that used to dock itself at the yard, look no further than the USS Constitution and the USS Cassin Young. Both ships are preserved at the park to represent the 200 year old tradition of ships built at the yard for the Navy.
