Landlubbers' Learn to Sail Experience

If you have always wanted to sail, the Landlubbers' Learn to Sail Experience in Biloxi-Gulfport, Mississippi is the perfect vacation for you. A seasoned sailor, Captain Roger Buenzow will teach you the basics of sailing with hands-on experience aboard a 31 foot sailing vessel. Set sail on your own or take the whole family for a fun-filled experience of a lifetime.

This is a whole day activity including four hours of classroom instruction and four hours on the water. Your package includes two nights lodging, but you are welcome to add additional nights or add more activities to your vacation.

• Coast Guard-licensed Captain Roger Buenzow provides precise sailing information and technique as well as impeccable safety practices.
• Basic Course Modules feature 4 hours of classroom instruction and 4 hours of on-the-water instruction.
• Comfortable dress is recommended: soft-soled shoes are preferable, as are sweaters or jackets for fall or winter excursions.
• Water instruction takes place aboard the Polaris, a 31-foot fully-equipped Catalina sailing vessel.
• Views aboard Polaris may include the historic Biloxi Lighthouse, brown pelicans, dolphins and barrier islands.
• Cameras are permitted.
• Sailing Courses are appropriate for ages 16 and older.
• Meal breaks are provided and meals are on your own at a nearby restaurant.
• There is ample free, public parking available at the small craft harbor.
