Experiencing the Ultimate Rush
The Ultimate Rush is not your average amusement ride. This high-flying ride is only for the truly daring. Compared to hang gliding and skydiving, this ride involves the individual being suspended in the air. The ride is also similar to bungee jumping because you are suspended from a large cord that is secured with a harness.
The Ultimate Rush involves a serious of steps. While on the ground, the staff will prepare you for the ride by strapping your body with the proper gear. You are then lifted to the top of the structure, which is an estimated 115 feet tall. Unlike typical amusement rides that allow you to change your mind about the ride, once you are hoisted to the top of the Ultimate Rush you must see the ride through to the end. Once you reach the top, you will then release the ripcord that secures your harness. At this point you are free flying.
Located on Beach Boulevard, the area in which the Ultimate Rush is located is full of activities. Many people visit the area while on vacation. After or before your ride on the Ultimate Rush you can visit other attractions in the area. There are also an abundance of hotels and other lodging opportunities in the area.
Every day of the week the Ultimate Rush is open late. Monday-Friday the amusement ride is available 5 p.m. — 12:00 a.m. On the weekends rides start at 11:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 a.m. It is recommended that individuals who plan to ride the Ultimate Rush allow a friend or close relative to hold belongings, such as loose change or a wallet, since these items can easily fall out during the course of the ride.
