Flying High with Aces High Parasail
There are many activities available on the Biloxi beachfront. The area is known for its two casinos: the Beau Rivage Hotel and Casino and the Grand Casino Biloxi. There are also popular water activities. One such water activity is Aces High Parasail. Considered an adventure tour of the Biloxi beachfront, this ride takes its passengers along the coast.
This ride involves a boat and a medium-size (20-40 feet) parasail, which is similar to a parachute. There is a protective harness between the boat and the parasail. One or as many as three people parasail while an Aces High Parasail staff member uses a winch boat to pull the riders up and over the water. When there are multiple riders, they are all attached to a bar that straps them in alongside one another. The ride takes of on dry land at the harbor and is high above the water within a few minutes. The ride basically ends the same way it started, except in reverse.
The good news is that riders at Aces High Parasail do not have to have any experience on the ride. Although riders of Aces High Parasail do not have any control while parasailing, the staff personnel driving the boats are well trained and professional parasail operators. The Aces High Parasail equipment is of the highest technology and is considered safe. The ride is not recommended for young children, the elderly, or individuals with serious health conditions.
The Aces High Parasail was affected by hurricane Katrina, so schedules may vary.
