Biloxi Outdoors, Family, and Sports Activities

Biloxi is a town of warmth; from her Southern hospitality to her warm coastal air and water, this town is one place that visitors simply must see, and will inevitably fall in love with! Whether you're a history buff, an outdoor-lover or love to treat the whole family to a fun trip, Biloxi is a great place to visit!

History:
Visit historic sites. With a history dating back to the 1600s, Biloxi has no shortage of historic sites. You can visit the Biloxi Lighthouse, the only lighthouse in America that is in the middle of a four-lane highway, or the Biloxi Historic District for a self-guided walking tour of 20 historic buildings.

Tour historic homes:

Whether you embark on a professionally-guided tour (such as Grayline's Antebellum Biloxi Tour) or choose your own path of exploration, Biloxi is full of historic homes with period furnishings, unique architecture and fascinating stories. Visit the Old Brick House, Tullis-Toledano House, Green Oaks, Grass Lawn, or Beauvoir.

Family Attractions
Educational attractions. Biloxi also features several educational attractions that are fun for the whole family, such as the J.L. Scott Marine Education Center with its 42,000-gallon aquarium, the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, the George E. Ohr Arts & Cultural Center, or the Friendship Oak, a 500-year-old oak tree.

Family fun: After some quality learning experiences, it's time to have some fun for fun's sake! Head out to the games, rides and waterslides at Biloxi Beach Amusement Park, the 14 acres of nearby Pascagoula Park or the mini-golf and playground at Time In Family Fun Center.

Outdoor activities
Biloxi's Mississippi Gulf Coast is the world's longest manmade white-sand beach, and stretches for 26 miles! This is the perfect place to enjoy outdoor activities like swimming, walking the beach, Frisbee or beach volleyball.

For the adventurous type, Biloxi's full of adrenaline-rushing activities, like skydiving and hang-gliding with the professionals at The Ultimate Rush.

Sports:   Biloxi is full of sports like golf, hunting and fishing. Beau Rivage, a course designed by the famous Tom Fazio, is a golfer's paradise, while the ideal waters off the coast of 'The World's Seafood Capital' provide great fishing for Spanish mackerel, snapper, grouper and lemonfish, to name a few.

Biloxi's nearly infinite list of activities ensures that everyone has a great visit. From historical homes and museums to outdoor activities and family attractions, Biloxi's guaranteed to leave a great impression on you, and a warm place in your heart!
