Biloxi Amusement Parks, Beaches, and National Parks

A combination of beachfront location and warm, wet weather makes Biloxi a collection of parks of various types. For those who love outdoor activities, Biloxi is guaranteed to have a park that's just the right style for everyone in your travel party!

Ship Island.
Take the Gulfport ferry to reach this island off the coast of the peninsula. As part of Gulf Island National Seashore, this area is great for bird watching, picnics, hikes and nature exploration in the tidal pools, windswept dunes and barrier island shore. If you are observant, you'll most likely even see bottlenose dolphins swimming alongside the ferry, escorting visitors to this coastal jewel!

Deer Island.
Located to the southeast of Biloxi, this marshy island is a designated Mississippi Coastal Preserve, and is known for its great boating and fishing. The island also serves as a rookery for the Great Blue Heron.

DeSoto National Forest.
Located 49 miles north of Biloxi, this is Mississippi's largest protected woodland with over 500,000 acres of pines, hardwoods, streams and blackwater creeks. This is a great place to see some wildlife, including deer, turkey and quail, or to enjoy a float down the lazy stream. There are trails for hiking, spots for fishing and campsites. Equestrians and hikers enjoy Big Foot Horse Trail, and the 69 miles of the Bethel Motor Vehicle Trails provide adventure for those with off-road vehicles.

Pascagoula Beach Park.
With 14 acres of playgrounds, picnic tables and grills, as well as a Pavilion, beach and 1,000-foot fishing pier, it is well worth the 21-mile drive from Biloxi to visit this gem of a park.

Biloxi Beach Amusement Park.
Providing a park experience of another kind, the Biloxi Beach Amusement Park is fun for everyone, but especially for families. Featuring all kinds of rides and games, everyone will love the mini-golfing, kiddie coaster, waterslides, go carts, bumper cars, bouncy castle, tilt-a-whirl, arcade, skeeball, basketball and video games.

Whether your perfect park experience is discovering the mysteries of nature, or experiencing the thrills of a theme park, Biloxi's got a place for you to play!
