Enjoy exploring this ornamental temple that was once home to a royal court, and is still one of the world's largest Tibetan Buddhist monasteries. The temple was originally built in 1694 AD, and is home to beautifully landscaped gardens and valuable Buddhist works of art.
From the Lama Temple, you will travel on to the Beijing Zoo, where you will have a great time exploring one of the biggest and most diverse zoos in China. The Beijing Zoo is home to the giant panda, an endangered species. After you enjoy a delicious authentic Chinese lunch, you will have time to explore an ancient altar built in 1420 AD to memorialize an emperor. At this location, you will also find a museum filled with artifacts documenting architecture and agriculture from thousands of years ago.
