This cycle tour of historic Ayutthaya takes you and a group of riders a short trip away from Bangkok, to the remains of the ancient Thai city of Ayutthaya. The remnants of this proud town are located slightly to the north of Bangkok. The town was destroyed in 1767 by attackers from nearby Burma. Prior to that fateful date it had been Thailand's capital, and much of this old splendor is evident even amid the ruins of the city.
