To get to Miette Hot Springs, you will take a beautifully scenic drive through the unbelievably gorgeous Fiddle valley and through Jasper National Park. Once you arrive at Miette Hot Springs, you can hop right in because the water feels fine! The Miette Hot Springs is actually the hottest mineral springs in the Rocky Mountains, arriving at the earth's surface at a steamy 54 degrees Celsius. Yet it cools to a comfortable 40 degrees Celsius as it enters the pools, making for ideal swimming conditions. You will have two choice of mineral pools to enjoy, a shallow pool with a lounging area and wheelchair access, or a deeper pool for full immersion. Relax in the warm waters for as long as you like, taking in the scenic views of the Ashlar Ridge. When you're ready, you can rinse off in the poolside shower, and then enjoy a snack at the on-site cafe or browse the many items and souvenirs available in the gift shop.
You can also spend some time exploring this interesting and beautiful site on the interpretive trail, taking you to the source of the hot springs. On your hike, you may be able to catch a glimpse of a number of wild animals, such as bighorn sheep, black bear, deer, and others.
