Every summer, the Bolton Hill neighborhood of Baltimore transforms into a wonderland of art and activity. Artscape is the largest arts festival in the region and offers countless things to do, see, and hear. Arts and craftspeople come from across the country to exhibit their handiwork in the Artists' Market, which features over 120 booths where visitors will find a marvelous array of art objects for sale.
A packed schedule of visual and performing arts events includes art exhibits at the venue and in surrounding galleries, live concerts of every musical genre presented on four different outdoor stages, as well as theatre, dance, opera, film, classical music, and fashion shows. Adults can have a bit of fun in the artist-led demonstrations and hands-on workshops, while a park completely dedicated to children provides interactive experiences, art projects, street theatre, and all manner of family fun. The fact that Artscape is free is the icing on the cake.
