Holiday Festival of Trains at the B&O You can revel in this outstanding treat at the B&O Museum. The B&O Railroad Museum exhibits locomotives and other important pieces from the beginnings of Maryland's railroad enterprise and also behold the best collection of steam locomotives from the nineteenth century available anywhere. Also, in the museum are clocks, pocket watches, communication devices, tools, dining car china and other artifacts that will take you back in time to the olden railroads and also give you a taste of the historical events such as the laying of the railroad's first stone when construction began. The B&O Railroad was the railroad that was the target of confederate soldier Colonel Thomas Jackson during the Great Train Raid of 1861.
