Wetland Institute near Atlantic City, NJ is located Stone Harbor, New Jersey and is dedicated to promoted to preserving and conserving coastal ecosystems. They do this in ways that are both educational and fun, whether they're dealing with school groups, families, vacationers or large groups. Although their summer and winter days and hours vary, they are open year round, with the exception of certain holidays. They host a large array of different educational programs year round as well.
The Wetlands Institute was founded in 1969 and, since that time, have promoted may research projects for undergraduate students involving coastal environments as well as the organisms that inhabit them. They are currently working side by side with the Coastal Conservation Research Program to research the issues involving the denseness in the population of the northeastern U.S.

One of their biggest and most popular events is their Wings 'n' Water Festival, which is in September. This event is known throughout the United States for its adventure, activities and fun. Some of the fun things you can expect here are folk music and great Jersey food, demonstrations and meeting many acclaimed carvers, quilters, artists, photographers and more.
