The Knife & Fork in Atlantic City, New Jersey is one of the key restaurants in the region (and one of the oldest.) It has a long time standing in the community and has come to be known as one of the best places to eat when visiting the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk, which is just a short walk away. Frank Dougherty, co owner of Dock's Oyster House also locally found, recently purchased and renovated the Knife & Fork, taking it back to its roots. These roots took place during the Prohibition era and that means a luxurious style (including mahogany millwork and hand painted ceilings) are throughout the restaurant. Beautiful balconies and amazing appointed dining rooms create a unique experience all of its own.
A recently addition to the Knife & Fork is that of the larger, more inviting bar area that now offers 20 seats and 2 plasma screen televisions. There is an intimate dining area in this area as well.
The Knife & Fork restaurant also offers a full new menu. It features some of the best steaks in the region. Seafood is also a heavy option with most of the seafood coming in fresh daily from the Atlantic Ocean. Popular options include lobster, oysters, and a wide selection of fish. Wine is just as important as the food is here. This is shown in the 10,000 bottle wine cellar that is found on the third floor of the restaurant. A huge selection of wines of various ages and varieties can be tasted and sampled during your meal.
The Knife & Fork is located at the point where Atlantic Avenue, Pacific Avenue and Albany Avenue meet and has been there for some 93 years.
