Dock's Oyster House located in Atlantic City, New Jersey is well known for the food that it serves and its location just a stones throw away from the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic. Founded in 1897 by Harry "Dock" Dougherty, the location had a small 60 seats but the high standards in place proved to be the key factor in staying in business for over a century. The location boasts a friendly, hospitable atmosphere and serves some of the best seafood and steaks in the region. Four generations of family kept the location running through the Great Depression, both World Wars and other lean times when other restaurants were closing their doors.
Dock's Oyster House is located on Atlantic Avenue within just a few blocks of the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The menu features world class quality including a variety of oysters freshly caught, generally that day. Raw bar selections are also available including ceviche, crabmeat cocktails and tuna tartar. Steaks, lobster and the finest wines and beers are available as well. A full wine list is to be enjoyed. Dock's Oyster House was recently voted as having the best wine selection and given the Award of Excellence for their high standards. The highest quality ingredients are always used and foods can be made to your liking.
It is strongly recommended that visitors plan to make reservations as soon as possible prior to visiting. Dinner service starts at 5pm. Parties and special occasions are honored but do make plans in advance. The dining room facilities are large enough to hold events of up to 100 people.
