Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA
Morehouse College originated in 1879 as the Atlanta Baptist Seminary and was at that time devoted to teaching young African American men the fields of ministry and education. Renamed in 1913 as the Morehouse College, the establishment is now regarded as being one of the top 25 hottest schools in the United States and also the hottest all male collage.
Morehouse is one of only four traditional men's collages left in America and it is made unique by the fact that all 3000 students are African American. The collage is classed as a private liberal arts collage and is part of the Atlanta University Center. Many of the students go on to be extremely successful men, some excelling at business while many others enter the world of politics and the list of Alumni contains a number of famous names including Samuel L. Jackson, Martin Luther King Jr and the athlete Ed Moses.
As well as being academically superior to many US collages and much more appealing to look at, the collage also has a lot of success in the sporting world. The students regularly compete in sports such as football, basketball, cross country, track and field events and baseball and most years they scoop a number of titles and trophies. The collage itself stands on a four acre plot in pleasing surroundings and although the collage has one of the most comprehensive curriculums in the country, thousands of African American male students apply for places each and every year.
