Built in 1924 for the Muckenthaler family, this 18-room Italian Renaissance-style mansion now houses a cultural center dedicated to the artistic enrichment of children and adults. The center offers a series of lectures, demonstrations, and workshops, as well as classes in drawing, painting, and clay arts. The art gallery hosts year-round exhibits of both local and international artists, while the new Repertory Theatre Company and Conservatory of Acting allows students to hone their performance skills and audition for the company's summer shows and cabarets.
Annual events include a concert series performed by the Muckenthaler Jazz Institute, and the Spring Motor Car Gala which attracts thousands of car enthusiasts and raises funds for the center's educational programs. Visitors can tour the mansion, stroll through the art exhibits, take a class, sit in on a lecture, or enjoy one of the many live performances hosted throughout the year.
