A short walk or monorail ride from the Disney theme parks and resort, Downtown Disney District is an outdoor entertainment, dining, and shopping area with an active nightlife. Families will enjoy shopping at the World of Disney, dining at the charming Rainforest Café, stopping in to make a new friend at the Build-a-Bear Workshop, catching a movie at the 12-screen theater, and marveling at the LEGO Imagination Center. In addition to its family-oriented fare, Downtown Disney provides plenty of attractions for adults.
Sports buffs will want to dine at the sports-themed ESPN Zone, while those with a musical flair can spend the evening New Orleans-style at the House of Blues or Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. Both offer fine southern cooking and world-class live music. There is no entrance fee to the district. Visitors should check the Disney website for special events and fireworks displays.
