More than just a place to buy produce, the Anaheim Farmer's Market is an educational experience where visitors can meet the farmers, learn about their food sources, and find nutritional information. In addition to fresh produce, specialty items like candy apples, beef jerky, and homemade breads are in abundant supply, as is a marvelous selection of flowers and plants.
Held every Thursday morning on the Center Street Promenade from 9:00 to 1:30, the Farmer's Market also features a unique craft fair where visitors can find Peruvian and Guatemalan objects of art alongside ceramics, sarongs, wood carvings, and stained glass jewelry. An all-around community event, visitors may stumble upon any number of special celebrations, from the Rumble & Rock music series and free summer concerts, to car shows, chili cook-offs, Cinco de Mayo festivities, and community pot-luck dinners.
