Catalina Island Jazz Trax Festival on Santa Catalina Island, CA

Spend the weekend on Santa Catalina Island listening to jazz and soaking up the atmosphere. The Annual Catalina Island Jazz Trax Festival is a weekend of great music in the 1929 Avalon Ballroom. This venue has been presenting the best in jazz music since 1987. You will enjoy the smooth sounds of the elite names in jazz while sitting 6 stories high overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There is a ferry service to the island. You can purchase tickets in advance by phone or online and actually choose the table where you want to enjoy the show. If you come for the weekend a day early, on Thursday, you can take advantage of the Secret Tours of the Avalon. There are backrooms and passages only seen on the Secret Tour. While in the area, you can enjoy swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, fine dining and quaint shops. There are glass-bottom boat rides where you can see the reefs and shipwrecks in the area.
