Stauffer Park in Nappanee, Indiana is an ideal, picturesque location for those looking for a quiet afternoon or some room to run and play. As part of the City of Nappanee's park system, which offers a total of 252 acres of parkland throughout the city, Stauffer Park is just one of many locations that guests can visit.
At Stauffer Park, guests can enjoy a variety of playground equipment, designed to accommodate those that are the youngest to those that are much older. There are also facilities located in the park that provide for a game of basketball, including a lighted basketball court. There is also a lighted tennis court available. Softball and baseball teams often play on the two lighted youth baseball diamonds here as well.
The Stauffer Park offers public restrooms at the ball park and there is a swimming pool located here (municipal). Guests that will be picnicking can enjoy the open air pavilions that dot the landscape.
All park amenities are based on a first come, first serve basis. Guests planning larger parties or get-togethers at Stauffer Park or one of the other parks in the city should consider reservations with the City offices.
Other area parks include South Park, Westside Park, and Robert W Callander Sportsplex. McCormick Creek Golf Course, which is adjoining to Stauffer Park, is a challenging 18 hole municipal golf course that can be enjoyed for a reasonable green fee. There is a four mile bicycle path (or walking path) that connects all of the parks with the city's business district as well as the various tourism activities located throughout. All parks are managed by the city.
